It appears there maybe some issues with the ortho-axis controller for GTEM’s.  The issues may be associated with the mechanical installation of the controller.  To level set TILE! users for the proper setup you can reference the 5407 GTEM manual (link below) to see if you are connected correctly.  If you are still having trouble contact us.

I have found an issue wih the PSA when using the preselector in ‘filter’ mode. 

If the PS is in filter mode and a start frequency of 30MHz or stop frequency of 1GHz is commanded (even from the front panel) the result will be a ‘compressed’ 10Hz span at either 29.999MHz or 999.999MHz. 

Example:

CF: 500MHz

Span: 1MHz

Change to:

Start Freq:  30MHz

Result:

29.999MHz to 30MHz.

NOTE:  This does not happen if the preselector is in BYPASS.

This will be evident when you are using a ‘scan’ type of action such as Optimize. 

Work around:

Place two GPIB actions in the flowchart before the scan action.

In the first one:  PSA:"sense:freq:star 30MHz"

In the second one:  PSA:"sense:freq:stop 1GHz"

If I put them in the same one there was not enough time to set it.

I have contacted Agilent about this and will post here when I see the fix.
